Arlington, VA (February 16, 2007) Nexus Systems’ presence at the Realcomm Dallas Conference not only caught the eye of most attendees, but was also noticed by the nationally distributed EXHIBITOR Magazine.
EXHIBITOR magazine is the most widely read magazine among trade show and event professionals for more than twenty-two years. One of the publication’s major objectives is to search the market to offer its readers the most cutting-edge trade show marketing examples and ideas. With that said, Nexus’ is honored to have its Buried in Paper Invoices exhibit recognized in this month’s edition of the magazine in the “Ideas That Work” section, titled “Buried Alive”:
Nexus Systems Inc., whose Web-based application, Payables-Nexus, automates the paper-heavy invoice process, wanted an economical way to show commercial real-estate prospects at Realcomm 2006 that it understood their paper pain. Nexus bought two 4-by-2-foot blocks and some Styrofoam tubes from a supplier near the Dallas show site, printed 2,000 pieces of heavy-weight paper to look like invoices, pinned them to the blocks, and stuck a sign on top reading “Buried in Paper Invoices?” With the permission of show management, Nexus placed the Styrofoam sierras near the two hall entrances, and applied 150 footprint-shaped stickers to the show floor, leading attendees from the two paper mounds to its booth. Two pairs of second-hand suit pants and shoes filled with the Styrofoam tubes jutted out from the mounds, so that it looked like some poor office drones had been crushed by paper-work. The artificial Alps cost Nexus just $670, but helped generate 60-percent more booth traffic than previous years.
