FALLS CHURCH, VA—If there was one word to capture the success Nexus Systems experienced in 2016 it would be “historic.” The company began the year with big goals in mind and by year-end, those goals were surpassed in many areas.
One of the greatest achievements in 2016 was securing a $28M growth equity investment from Mainsail Partners. This investment capital makes way for the company to accelerate product development, scale sales and marketing, and grow its onboarding and client service teams.
For the fifth consecutive year, Nexus Systems made the Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest Growing Companies list. The company experienced a three-year revenue increase of 88 percent, which bolstered its ranking on the Inc. 5000 list to 238, a 15 percent increase from their 2015 ranking at 275 in the software category.
Nexus Systems also saw tremendous success on the sales and marketing front. The company’s clientele grew over 20 percent for the eighth consecutive year. Nexus Systems also concluded the year with a total of 35 tradeshows and events across the globe. The company broadened its international footprint in 2016 by having a presence in Australia, Canada, Germany and London.
Another monumental achievement made in 2016 was the launch of NexusPayables OnTheGo, the company’s new mobile application extension for its accounts payable software, NexusPayables. This innovate app provides quick access to mission control AP data. The company’s NexusVendorConnect product that allows vendors to easily and securely submit electronic invoices to Nexus Systems clients, achieved growth in usability by 64 percent. NexusCatalog, which enables the company’s clients to purchase products and services online, added three noteworthy supplier partners—The Home Depot, W.W. Grainger and SHI International—bringing the total supplier list to 22.
Internally, Nexus Systems Headquarters completely renovated its Falls Church, Virginia office, adding four huddle rooms, two conference rooms and a shared open work space and many workstations to accommodate the company’s employee growth.
